The METS! 2015

The mecca of red carpets rolled in today with the 2015 Met Ball!   This years theme was "China: through the looking glass".  The event showcased ancient Chinese art and artifacts as well as dresses interpreting such designs by an array of the most well known design houses such as Tom Ford and Alexander McQueen.  This year's carpet did not come without controversy as some celebs took the cultural theme way too literally to a point of being offensive.  But, for the most part I felt glam was on full blast this year thus inspiring the list!  Here they are--

BEST--

Jennifer Lopez serving sexy in Versace.  Attending with the Donatella herself, JLo looked super sultry in couture!
Diane Kruger giving us chic beyond chic in Chanel separates -- loving this Hollywood-- it's glam at its best
Kendall Jenner killing it in Calvin Klein-- This dress hugged her super model curves in ALL the right ways.  GORG!!  The hair and makeup was so sleek and flawless !

WORST--

Anne Hathaway in Ralph Lauren couture.
I just cant.  She looks like a statuesque hooded Oscar.  ICK!!  All gold everything does not chic make.
Kerry Washington in Prada.
I don't know why she keeps insisting on this tea length!! UGH!  Go long or go home!  It's just not flattering at all.  Cute shoes though.
Lady Gaga in Balenciaga
UGH.  Frumpy Mc Frumpleson.  I'm getting a kimono vibe-- and those are a Japan thing, not China.  So No, NO, and NO. Too much!

HONORARY MENTION--

Allison Williams in Giambattista Valli
I don't know why I love this so much but I do!!  Maybe its the juxtaposition of the powerful red and princess tulle but I love it !! And I love her!

Kate Beckinsale in DVF
Simple, elegant, classic and beautiful!  She did everything right! Bravo!

Solange in Giles.
I was literally going to put her on my worst list until I saw this on the runway.  It immediately started to grow on me.  She was fearless in this choice so I have to give her props for that!  It really is a piece of fashion ART which is what this event is really all about!
