socks and foots!

just got our first dose of brrrrrr in Vegas yesterday- love the chilly crisp air I'm so ready for FALL!!
Adorned tights, leggings and socks are popping up everywhere and I must say I don't hate em!  Being pregnant.com this season limits me a tad and I fully intend to live in tights over sized cable knit sweaters and vintage flat boots- how happy was I to see all of my options in the "tights" category! here are a few looks I'm all over :

ribbon dot tight
bebe $19

Megan fox rocking this look in floral tights/motorcycle boot and over sized cardigan.

double winner:
AnnaLynne Mccord models the RZ Leather Cascade Front Jacket at QVC Fashion Week Kickoff Party. complete with urban outfitter tuscan tight

This look is the perfect way to still look SEXY when its cold outside and a basic opaque or sheer tight works too- still so cute:

leave it to me to rock the look in '09 but i tend to be on top of my game :)
(with Bebe boot and black mini @ china grill las vegas)

with American apparel mini @ Lavo las vegas '09
*please believe the dress may change but the tights will always be a fashion YES.

I like a sheer or opaque tight under denim shorts
as seen on nicole (i diiiiiie for her)
just make sure the shorts are roomy enough and not too short-
which she does perfectly but so can you

dress this look up easily by adding a heel (open, closed OR peep toe works)
the blazer makes it an instant evening look and i LOVE.

*pick up basic opaque and sheer tights at target for $7!

love a sexy knee high sock
forever 21 $6
available in burgundy, navy, charcoal,& black

i looove it in a knit too - pair it with a snuggly cardigan

prom: best & worst

prom pictures looked "sweet".  I dutifully went through the bunch and picked out my favorites (and least favorites of course) and here they are.  WARNING: disasters ahead.

BEST:

3rd

Ranna- dear friend of mine
love the color, the asymmetrical cut and her shoes were major.
I would've put her hair up to focus on the dress neckline but we still love.

2nd

Chicky in the middle
the black and white contrast and ruffle detail is unexpected and refreshing.
this little WHITE dress is a big winner
i love a nude shoe with white but she tried to match her belt and i get that
Her loose up do finishes up a polished prom look.
bravo.

1st

loves!
It was nice to see print and color- this dress is very similar to my favorite on line pick (yay me)
jewel embellishment and cut out was just enough and her pretty waves go perfectly with the flow of the dress.
her neighbor on the left looks like half a puzzle, js, but that's neither here nor there
and that's how its done las vegas girls

here's how its NOT done :

what in the bra straps is going on here
 STRAPLESS- DO IT. or die
hurts my eyes.

this whole effing picture pains me
specifically ladybug in the middle with the renaissance festival skirt, horrid waist cincher and Charlotte Russe (circa 98) top. I mean there are no words. die.com

BOYS WILL BE BOYS:

sharp. he's all dressed up and I'm loving it.
suit is tailored tight and right.
I want to choke the girl out with her own "half glove" but whatever.

homeys tryyying to pull off the 'dishevelled' look
rather he is pulling off the just ran out of my dorm room look perfectly.
tie your tie right, tailor your jeans, go shoe shopping, and get a life.

THIS is how the dishevelled look is done.
still polished, shiny new kicks accessories are all on point
gold metal DJ shift.

enjoy the day ! xoox style lush

in honor of prom!

Vegas prom is upon us .. what can i say... I attended last years glitzy booze filled event at Wet Republic with my dear friend DJ Freddy b who was nominated for prom prince of course- such a doll.  My favorite part of the evening was my dress (sequin, vintage, beacons closet in Brooklyn NY for like $17 posted on last blog in fact) so I thought in honor of the timeless tradition of prom and homecoming I'd showcase my favorite picks for 2010.  I was pleasantly surprised with how many more options young women have! BRAVO designers for being so much more innovative-- long gone are the cupcake tulle messes and satin disasters.  Prom has come a LONG way since 2000.  My senior prom dress, however, was sequin, yellow, vintage, floor length with a sky high slit, and fabulous-- so I guess some things never change.  :)

So for all the prom queens and for my girlfriends who are attending this years event at TAO beach, here are MY favorites for 2010:

my FAVORITE- LOVE the bright colors and use of PRINT!
by allure $398

classic- audrey hepburn moment but the color keeps it fresh and modern
by BG Haut $460

HAD to include a sequin option
by jasz $278
