i do!

OMG, saw Breaking Dawn Part 1 tonight, (finally), and was SO impressed with Mrs. Cullen's wedding gear.  Bravo Carolina Herrera !!  When asked how she was inspired the designer said "It was a combination of things, I got inspiration from the book and descriptions from Stephenie Meyer. You had to really take in consideration the whole story — which was this innocent girl with the first true love of her life. It had to be magical."  It took her six months to create and was a long process involving many sketches which she still has, she told e! news.

Magical it was!!  Like a nerdster I bawled through the ENTIRE ceremony, literally bawled, the entire time.  I loved the vintage feel but that it wasn't too "old school".  Most importantly when I read Breaking Dawn I imagined the dress (and quite honestly the entire movie) exactly as I saw it on screen, which is an incredible feeling!

I never forget about shoes, OBVI!  Only the best for Bella, which of course meant Manolo Blahnik.  The "Swan" pump is a satin embellished pump and is part of the resort spring 2012 collection, available NOW!

Reportedly, Carolina Herrera plans to sell the gown in her CHNY boutiques in NYC, however the price and exact number of gowns have not been revealed. The official "replica" dress is selling at Alfred Angelo (barf) for approximately $800.  Um, no thanks.  I'm so not a fan of creating cheapie versions of timeless classics.  Herrera or nothing !!  In any case, lets take a moment to ooh and aah again shall we?

the loose weave

As someone who gets their hair blown out at least once a week, its needless to say I'm NOT a hair guru: BUT I love a good lookin weave!  (I call hair weave, regardless if its real or.. attached)  October Vogue featured a fab article in the beauty section about loose "undone" hair which I've ALWAYS been a fan of.  The "it looks like she did it herself" hair style is in full effect this season so relax ladies and enjoy the messy is in phase.  The idea is not to look like a complete mess but rather "less done" as opposed to over styled, product filled, etc.  Two of my favorites are the side loose braid (shown below) and a loose bun (always a bun fan no matter what!)
