Love struck

Thank you so much to everyone that made Love Struck such a success.  I feel so blessed to have such an amazing team and awesome support system.  The room was filled with LOVE and I was a happy little stylist!!!   Special thanks to the Stylelush Team, hair and makeup, and my amazing assistant Deanne.  Thank you to Designer Reyna Herrera who created two AMAZING pieces especially for the show, and Stitched-- at the Cosmopolitan for helping me style our dream boys!  Thank you SO much to photographer Brenton Ho and Hadley Obusan for covering the show and for all the amazing images.   I had an amazing time writing these captions, putting into words the inspiration for every look and telling the story of Love Struck-- enjoy!

This is the first dress I saw while pulling for the show, and the girly sweet appeal of it felt perfect. I was inspired by the ever romantic and beautiful Audrey Hepburn, and Barbie!  Paired with her ballroom gloves, vintage jewelry and bubble umbrella, she is the quintessential girl about town, in love.

If Mia's look was inspired by Barbie, Casey's was inspired by Ken.  I wanted her to have her dream date and here he is!  Casey Cameron, wardrobe provided by STITCHED at the Cosmopolitan

Reyna Herrera, of Avanseh, created this GORGEOUS gown inspired by the theme of the show. I absolutely adore the fluidity of it and we paired it with super cute suede  booties to give it a little edge, which was perfect for model Kathleen.

I absolutely love local designer Reyna Herrera.  I felt like her cutting edge designs would give this show just the right amount of modern edge!  I paired her amazing top with these soft cut out shorts to keep it sweet.

I wanted one of my men to be vintage inspired. The image of Ryan Gosseling's character  from the Notebook stuck in my mind.  Afterall it is the ULTIMATE romance novel and his hopeless romantic dreamy appeal was so inspiring.

Rachel and Sara: the love child(s)!  I was so inspired by the romance of these gowns. and they actually inspired the entire theme of the show.  Delicate, ethereal and sweet-- I imagined my vision of a flower child in love :)

GORG!!!
I was so inspired by flowers and the way they connect to love -- being in love, saying I love you , and just the romantic mood that flowers bring.  I took the bright colors of spring this season,  and created this custom piece made of fresh and silk flowers, to compliment the hi low flowing skirts that are everywhere for spring.  She looks like a dream!
Skirt available at forever 21, fashion show mall.
